Course Objectives The aim is providing of physical and psychological needs elderly patient in terminal stage and teaching needs to be done for applying best way of care
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to define concepts related with terminal stage
  • Will be able to explain basic, physiological, psychological and social needs of eldely patient in terminal stage,
  • Will be able to define findings of death,
  • Will be able to explain care postmortem,
  • Will be able to assess consciousness,
  • Will be able to define problems experienced by relatives of patient
  • • Will be able to explain the applications to relieve the terminal stage patient’s pain.
Course Description Recognition of elderly patients with terminal stage, recognition of signs of death, the basic requirements of elderly patients in terminal period, physiological and psychological needs, learning needs of the hospital and home conditions, event of the death, the preparation of the relatives of patients
